Amazing barn with fantastic instructors and staff. The Star Ridge program is more than just a place to learn to ride, or board your horse, it's a family. So glad we found them. Highly recommend.

My daughter has been riding with Stella for several years. I can not say enough good things about Stella and the trainers there! Highly recommend them for any level rider. They teach with patience and a ton of knowledge! They take amazing care of their horses and riders! Very family friendly atmosphere as well.

Head trainer Stella Prescott is hands down the best equitation instructor I have ever ridden with. She can immediately pinpoint how to improve your position and success in the saddle while simultaneously boosting your confidence and making it fun and engaging for all levels of riders. She takes impeccable care of her horses and riders, especially those of us who have a few fake parts!

I have known Stella since she first started Star Ridge Stables many decades ago, many farms ago. She is a top-notch hunter / jumper / equitation trainer, and she also knows how to make things fun! She can bring up horse, rider or both! She knows how to provide quality care to the horses, and how to educate her customers on getting the most out of their time around horses and the farm. Her knowledge is vast, and she is willing to share it with her clients and those working for her.

Stella was my instructor back in SC in 2009 when I started "re-riding" after 25 years out of the saddle. She is a stickler for correct equitation, which I love, so you won't find any of her students doing the dreaded "Carolina Duck". She has ways to teach everyone from beginners to advanced riders in a way they can relate to, and is passionate about students learning to be a true "horseman" and not just a rider. Her care of her horses and support of her students is something I always remember. I am forever thankful that Stella was there to give me the strong foundation I needed when I started riding again, and in 2023 at 57 years old, I'm STILL riding and showing!
